As a non-profit organization, the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society depends on volunteers as essential components in helping to provide a quality shelter and life for the animals. If you love animals, and have at least four spare hours a month, we strongly encourage you to consider volunteering at the Humane Society. By offering a broad range of tasks, we accommodate a wide variety of volunteer interests and talents that aid in fulfilling the needs of both our animals and our operation responsibilities. In order to attend an Orientation Class, you will need to complete an application, return it to the Shelter annd be accepted to an upcoming orientation class. Walk-ins are no longer permitted.  Class size is limited to 15 people.

The Sioux Falls Area Humane Society does not allow Court Ordered Community Service.
